Animesh Chakravarthy, Ph.D.

Animesh Chakravarthy received the Ph.D. degree with specialization in estimation and control from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA, in 2007. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, University of Texas, Arlington, TX, USA. From 2007 to 2010, he was a Research Scientist with the University of Florida Research and Engineering Education Facility, and from 2011 to 2018, he was a Faculty Member with Wichita State University. His current research interests include dynamics and control of morphing vehicles, path planning in dynamic environments, PDE-based modeling and control of multi-agent systems, and study of insect flight dynamics. His research has been funded by NSF, NASA, FAA, and the U.S. Air Force. He was a recipient of an NSF CAREER award in 2014.

Kashish Dhal

Start date: Fall 2018, Graduated in August 2022

Working towards Guidance, Collision Avoidance and Controls of Unmanned Vehicle Systems. He has extensively worked on embedded systems, FPGAs, real-time controller, sensor integration and hardware development for drones and rovers. Also, he has developed algorithms for cooperative control and collision avoidance for multi-unmanned vehicles system.
